Brandon Matera has signed with the Subiaco Football Club to play at the Lions in the 2021 Optus WAFL Premiership Season.

The 28-year-old kicked a career-high 30 goals final season in 2019 for Fremantle Dockers and made five appearances for the club in a COVID-affected year in 2020.

The Subiaco Football Club is pleased to announce Michael Dobbin will join the club as the new Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Dobbin will take over the role from Matthew Olds, who departed the club last month.

Dobbin joins the Lions from the NRL’s North Queensland Toyota Cowboys where he worked as the Football Department's Head of Performance.

Subiaco FC and the wider football community is greatly saddened by the passing of Jake Ryan yesterday, after being struck by a train while running in Italy.

Jake played 12 league games and 26 reserves games between 2004-2006 and was part of the WAFL Reserves Premiership winning team in 2005.

Peter German coached Jake while at Subiaco from 2004 to 2006.
