The Lions were able to defeat a spirited East Fremantle, winning by 15 points at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Saturday September 9.

Subiaco got their noses in front prior to quarter time, before taking control in the second term.

They kicked the first four goals of the quarter, creating a buffer between the two sides.

Although the Sharks fought back, Subiaco wouldn’t be denied, winning 10.4 (64) to 7.7 (49).

Isaac Clinch stood up throughout the match, performing a strong role in defence.

He was helped by Lachlan Henderson, who had 18 disposals and took 11 marks.

The win has the Reserves travelling to Mandurah to take on West Perth in the Preliminary Final on Sunday September 17.

Fil Muavou kicked things off for the Lions, kicking a goal in the opening two minutes of the match.

The two sides traded goals, but Subiaco had the edge going into the second term.

The Lions made the most of their opportunities, kicking four goals to one to lead by 22 points at the main break.

After East Fremantle took the momentum in the third quarter, the Subiaco needed someone to help steady the ship.

Enter Connor Patterson, who stepped out of trouble and snapped through one of the goals of the day.

It helped the Lions create enough separation to continue their Premiership hunt.
