Subiaco will be looking to continue their momentum when they take on Swan Districts at Steel Blue Oval on Saturday June 25.

The two sides are both knocking on the door of the top five, so both teams will be looking for the four points.

FORM

The Lions have had back to back wins against Perth and West Coast, where they sit seventh on the WAFL ladder.

It came after tough losses to East Fremantle and Peel Thunder, but Subiaco remained competitive throughout.

It makes the clash with the Swans important in the context of the season, where the result could shape the rest of the year.

Meanwhile, Swan Districts have proven to be a tough side to match up against in recent weeks.

They had three impressive wins in a row against South Fremantle, West Coast, and Peel Thunder, before a three-goal loss to West Perth in round nine.

LAST TIME THEY MET

In round five of this season, Subiaco were down by 20-points at three quarter time in a competitive game with the Swans.

However, the Lions clicked into gear in the last term, completing a 34-point turnaround to win the match.

Subiaco piled on the pressure, keeping Swan Districts scoreless in the fourth quarter in wet conditions in Kalgoorlie.

Four goals each from hometown hero Ryan Borchet and key forward Ben Sokol, as well as a 28 disposal effort from Stefan Giro helped set up the win.

ONE TO WATCH

In a backline missing key tall Jordan Lockyer, Angus Dewar has stepped up to fill the void.

While his penetrating kick has been his trademark over the years, his ability to lockdown players has been on show this season, where he has limited the influence of opposition forwards.

He's also shown an ability to run off and influence the play, highlighting his footy smarts.

Dewar's efforts have been recognised by the league, where he was named in the round nine WAFL Team of the Week.
