RESERVES

It was a comprehensive performance from the reserves, who defeated Perth by 59 points at Mineral Resources Park on Saturday June 11.

Subiaco took the lead early and never looked back, as the Lions went home with the four points in the 14.5 (89) to 4.6 (30) contest.

It was a six goal to one second term that set Subiaco up, with the side proving too strong for the Demons.

Another five majors were kicked in the third, putting away any doubt of a result other than a Lions win.

In another ticked box for Subiaco, Premiership forward Michael Braut made his return from injury as he continues to build his match fitness.

Meanwhile, Lewis Putt was potent up forward, kicking five goals from 17 disposals, and Ben Golding was prolific with 30 touches and 10 tackles.

COLTS

In the morning game, the Colts were made to work, but they got the job done with an 11-point win over Perth.

It was a match where momentum was a great ally, as scores often came in bundles.

Subiaco got their lead out to more than three straight kicks on a couple of occasions, but the Demons were good enough to peg the margin back.

With the scores tied at three quarter time, Perth were the first to make a move, kicking two goals in a few minutes to put the pressure on.

However, a mark and goal from Kyde Stubbs shifted the momentum towards Subiaco, where the side kicked three more to seal victory.

Rory Murison was a driving force for the Lions, with 24 disposals and nine inside 50s, while Ky Franceschini had an influence with 23 touches and 10 tackles.
