VALE: Dave Cuzens

The Subiaco Football Club is saddened to learn of the recent passing of past captain-coach Dave Cuzens.

Dave grew up in Bassendean and established himself as a footballer of the highest quality with Kalgoorlie City, playing in the club's 1953 and 1954 premiership teams and winning the 1955 fairest and best award. 

Cuzens was recruited by Richmond and played 69 games for the Tigers winning their Best and Fairest in 1958 and 1959 and serving as the club Vice-Captain in 1960 & 1961.

Cuzens returned to WA to take up the role of captain-coach of the Subiaco Football Club in 1962, playing 13 league games for the Club before retiring as a player, and continuing to coach the Club in 1963.

The Subiaco Football Club expresses its sympathies to the family and friends of Dave.
