Reserves Elimination Final Recap v West Perth

Subiaco’s Reserves are through to the Semi-Final after a convincing 44-point win on Sunday putting an end to West Perth’s premiership race.

Subi got to it nice and early putting five goals on the board in a fast start. The Falcons were trailing by 24 at the first break after slotting just one through the middle.

Even as Subi’s kicking started to go a bit wayward in the second quarter they kept their comfortable 27-point lead for the second half to come. Noah Ash and Corey Robinson had already stacked up 15 disposals each by halftime and Jack Mayo having kicked two to his name.

The second half saw Subi continue to stretch the game out of reach from the home team and finished with their sights set on the Semi-Final after walking away winners.

Jack Beverley had an impressive day with 8 tackles and 13 touches and Matthew Johnson topped the disposal count with 23 as well as 9 marks around the ground. Jack Mayo was equally as good in the air, with 12 marks, 22 touches and finished by adding three minor scores after halftime to go home with 2.3 to his name.

Subi will battle with Swans this weekend in the first Semi-Final as their hopes of getting closer to the big dance hang in the balance.
