Quest Apartment Hotels Volunteer of the Month - June Winner
Subiaco Football Club recognises that volunteers are a vitally important part of our sport and launched the ‘Quest Apartment Hotels Volunteer of the Month’ Program, to promote and rewards the many hard-working volunteers at the Subiaco Football Club and Junior Clubs within the Subiaco District.
June's Volunteer of the Month and winner of a nights accommodation at Quest West End is Tanya Maddafari-Hayward (Stirling Junior Football Club).
Tanya came onto the club'scommittee in 2020 as a general committee member but with several positions available in 2021, she come on board as our Club Secretary. Tanya has worked hard in this position to improve the professionalism of this role, ensuring that all aspects of our meetings are documented accurately and clearly. In addition to this, the club had a vacancy on our committee for a Canteen Manager, and while all committee members have contributed in a small way; Tanya has taken responsibility for the ordering of stock and can be found there on a Friday night for our girls matches, Saturday morning for Auskick, as well as Sunday's, often missing out on her own son's games to make sure that this valuable asset is running smoothly.
Like many of the volunteers at the Stirling Junior Football club, Tanya does not seek recognition from anyone; however, we believe that she should be recognised as a valuable member of our committee, one who steps up and helps others before thinking of herself.
