Calling Urgently on Subiaco Members

The Subiaco Football Club is urgently calling on lapsed members to rejoin the club for what promises to be an exciting 2019 season.

 

Subiaco produced a history making 2018 season, the best in the 133 year history of the WAFL culminating in the club winning premierships in league, reserves and colts, along with an undefeated league season.  Despite that,  our club membership numbers for 2019 are not showing any gains on previous years.

 

 

As was seen at last year’s AGM, the club has battled through two difficult financial years and desperately needs all Lion fans and supporters to become members and assist with returning the finances to strong health. 

 

Never before in Subiaco’s history has membership been as significant as it is now.

 

Becoming a member and joining us on our 2019 journey or encouraging friends and family to do so is the best way that Subiaco can get your support this year. 

 

Now is the time to join us, with a history making start to the 2019 year the perfect chance to get along and cheer the Lions on.

 

In Round One, on Saturday April 6, Subiaco will have a history making event as we raise the three premiership flags won last year.

 

Never before has a team and its members had the chance to stand as one, as the three flags of league, reserves and colts swing side by side.

 

This is something that has been 135 years in the making.

 

As a Subiaco fan, this simply is a must be at event, wearing your club colours and standing with pride alongside the rest of the maroon and gold faithful. 

 

After this historic Round One, just two weeks later on Good Friday April 19, Subiaco will for the first time ever get the chance to test themselves against the West Coast Eagles.

 

Much has been said about the strength of the Subiaco side over the past two decades and where it sits amongst the best teams in Australia, on April 19, we will find out if it is the WAFL premier or the AFL premier who will rule supreme.

 

Subiaco versus West Coast. Premier versus Premier. It is again a must attend match for any Subiaco and West Coast fans.

 

Membership remains the lifeblood of all community clubs and Subiaco is no different.

 

The club has achieved and endured through over 120 years of history supported fundamentally by our members, this is the year that we need all members back on board.
