Subiaco set for blockbuster clashes as WAFL releases new fixtures

Subiaco are set for an exciting month of football, after rounds 10-14 of the WAFL season were announced by the league.

The week of Round 10 sees the Lions head to Bassendean to take on Swan Districts in a clash that will no doubt be heated after Subiaco’s come-from-behind victory in Kalgoorlie.

Round 11 is all about the WAFLW, with a standalone weekend announced for the Grand Final, meaning the men will have a bye.

Stergiou fulfilling Lions’ need for speed

While Subiaco have been challenged in 2022 through a variety of factors including COVID-19, quality opposition, and the game’s evolution over time, a pillar of consistency has been one of the club’s League debutants.

Reserves and Colts Round Six Recap

A third term burst from Subiaco was the key behind the side’s triumph over East Fremantle, winning by 31 points at the WACA Ground on Saturday May 28.

WAFLW: Subiaco’s Indigenous guernsey shows club and cultural history

Subiaco will proudly wear an Indigenous guernsey designed by one of the team’s own.

Iesha Farmer comes from a family with a long history of football, including two of her uncles in former AFL talent Jeff, and former Subiaco Lion Allistair Pickett.

Subiaco were on a mission to get the four points away from home, but fell by 50 points against a classy Sharks outfit on Sunday May 29.

A scoreless opening term from the Lions allowed East Fremantle to gain the lead early.

Subiaco fought, but were ultimately outplayed by East Fremantle, falling by 44 points at the WACA Ground on Saturday May 28.

From Esperance to Subiaco: Tholstrup continues his rise

Stepping up to the mark and excelling appears to be in the DNA of Esperance product Koltyn Tholstrup.

Although just 16-years-old, the key forward is making a name for himself at Colts level, with 15 goals to his name and averaging 16 disposals across five matches this season.
