RESERVES

The Reserves continued their winning momentum against Perth, taking a 26-point win as they head into the pointy end of the season.

Aaron Breman was crucial for Subiaco early, kicking three goals after a hot start from the Demons.

While the two sides traded goals for the majority of the first half, the Lions got their noses in front with a 13-point lead at half time.

Subiaco continued to put the pressure on up forward, and secured the 10.12 (72) to 7.4 (46) win.

Breman was the difference in the game, kicking six goals, while Jaimon Alone had an influence with 18 disposals and five inside 50s.

The win keeps the Lions in third spot, but will need to knock off the top of the ladder Falcons in order to secure a double chance come finals.

PERTH    3.1    5.3    6.4    7.4    (46)

COLTS

It was an even contest for the majority of the game, but the Lions stormed home in the last term to win by 23 points against Perth.

After only behinds were scored in the first 12 minutes, Koltyn Tholstrup found space down the ground before kicking over the top to Richard Bartlett, who kicked truly for Subiaco’s first.

Bartlett was again involved in the second, bursting through the contest and launching from 50 to extend the Lions’ lead.

However, Perth wouldn’t back down, and there was less than a goal in it to begin the last quarter.

A checkside finish from Tyler Senge gave the Lions the momentum, as the side ran away with the 9.7 (61) to 5.8 (38) win.

Lachlan MacRae made his mark on the game with 18 touches and seven tackles, while Tyson Wright looked solid down back with 16 disposals.

Subiaco enters the final round in third, but take on the top of the table West Perth and will need to win to ensure a double chance in September.
