AIt’s round three and Subiaco are going to be faced up against West Perth on Saturday at 2:40pm up at Provident Financial Oval in Joondalup.

ONES TO WATCH

One of Subiaco’s most consistent performers of recent times is captain Leigh Kitchin and he certainly hasn’t shied away from that this year, putting up two quality showings of the start to this season. His 28 and 29 touches, pressure acts (5 & 10 tackles) around the ground and moving the ball inside 50 (11& 6) is the role he continues to play for his team and its way to winning games. The most recent time the Lions played West Perth last year in round 9, Kitchin had 13 tackles and 4 inside-50s to go with his 23 possessions, despite going down by 19 points. This makes for it to be anticipated that Kitchin will step up in another outstanding performance this week against a quality side.

Harry Marsh is also one to look out for as he continues to do what he does best and provide well above average performances week in week out. Round one Marsh had 28 disposals and 9 inside-50s and continued on from that with 4 inside-50s, 18 disposals and scored 2.2 for the game. Last time the two teams met Harry Marsh didn’t feature in the clash but, once again his consistency is valued and will aim to make his presence felt in this weekend’s match up.

Greg Clark has also been having his fair share of the ball and highlighting himself as importance to the team, a total of 46 disposals, 18 tackles and 5 shots at goal for the two games of the year so far. Along with him, Ryan Borchet shone last week in a cracker of a game with seven marks, 15 possessions and scoring 3.3 to top it all off, watch out for him in this weeks’ West Perth game.

Hayden Kennedy’s return to the team last week in round 2 after missing round one, making WAFL team of the week will certainly be one to keep an eye on moving forward with the season. He finished with four marks, two inside 50s and 17 possessions.
