WAFLW Match Preview v Peel Thunder

Fresh off a week off over Easter, this Saturday, Subiaco will look to seek revenge on their round two loss earlier in the season when they come up against the formidable Peel Thunder. Their Round seven clash will be an away game at David Grays Arena, with bouncedown at 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 10.

FORM

Subiaco won their opening match and most recent game against South Fremantle prior to the Easter Break. Subiaco amassed a massive 23 scoring shots, converting just under half, finishing 11.12 (78).

Subi has multiple goal kickers with Buckley and Tester both kicking three, Hunt and Pocsidio kicked two each, while Dowrick kicked one.

OPPONENTS FORM

Peel Thunder are currently sitting second on the WAFLW ladder behind the undefeated Swan Districts. So far this season Peel have only lost to Swans and Claremont, however defeated East Fremantle comfortably prior to the Easter Break.

Peel will look to make it two from two this year against Subiaco, with the aim to provide as many opportunities to their strong forward-line.

LAST TIME THEY MET

The last time Subiaco and Peel Thunder did battle, Peel Thunder dominsated the Grand Final rematch, winning the game 10.10 (70) to 4.2 (26).

Subiaco got off to solid start, kicking 3.0 in the first quarter, to lead by five points at quarter time.

However, Peel Thunder kept the Lions to one goal for the remaining match, with the Thunder able to pile on 8.9 in the last three quarters.
