LEAGUE

Subiaco came away with a thumping victory against bottom-of-the-ladder South Freo this past Saturday at home, finishing the game winning by the sizeable margin of 72, kicking 11.12 (78) to South’s 1.0 (6).

Subiaco got off to a cracking start kicking 3.4 unanswered in the first term. Subi kept South Fremantle scoreless for the next two quarters, while the Lions piled on 6.5 in quarters two and three. The fourth quarter saw South’s have their only scoring shot of the game resulting in a goal and Subiaco added another 2.3 as well.

The game ended having South Freo with scoring accuracy of 100% and only 1 scoring shot and evidently the Lions being much less positive with 47.83% accuracy, but had a total of 23 scoring shots for the match.

GOAL KICKERS

Subiaco had multiple goal kickers with Kia Buckley and Tarnee Tester kicking 3 majors, Amy Hunt and Kate Pocsidio with 2 and Abbey Dowrick with 1.

NEXT UP
Subiaco will face Peel Thunder in round 7 on Saturday 10 April at David Grays Arena to hopefully improve their performance since the last time they met in round 2 when the 2020 premiers came away with a convincing win.

RESERVES

Subiaco came head to head with East Fremantle on Sunday at New Choice Homes Park and were unable to bounce back from last weeks performance as they remained goalless at full time kicking only two minors while East freo finished with 8.9 (57).

Subiaco finished with two scoring shots to East Fremantle’s 17 total for the game.

Subiaco are up against Claremont next week in round 7 at Leederville Oval on Sunday April 11 at 12 noon.

ROGERS CUP

Subiaco Women’s Roger cup team lost to East Fremantle this Sunday away at New Choice Homes Park by 51 points after being kept goalless up until halftime finishing with 2.3 in the last two quarters of the game.

The game finished with East Freo having 16 scoring shots with their scoring accuracy 62.50%  to Subiaco’s 5 with an accuracy of 40.00%
