Subiaco came head-to-head with second placed Claremont at Leederville on a fine Saturday evening, in a tight first half before the Tigers ran away with it in the third quarter recording a 20 point win 4.2 (26) to 7.4 (46).

Subiaco were highly accurate, kicking 4 goals from six scoring shots (66.6% accuracy), however with repeat inside 50’s and eleven scoring shots, Claremont were able to convert their chances, kicking seven goals for the match (63.6% accuracy)

The Women’s team continues to sit fifth on the WAFLW ladder after four rounds, currently out of the top four, sitting below East Fremantle on percentage.

Subiaco’s next game will be played against Swan Distrcits at Steele Blue Oval on Saturday 21 March at 1pm, with the Lions looking to get back on the winning side.

Rogers Cup

The Subiaco Women’s Rogers Cup won their first game of the season, recording a 19 point win over Leedeville Oval co-tenants East Perth, this past Saturday afternoon.  

Subiaco had a fantastic start, kicking two goals to one in the first quarter, and that was just the beginning. In the second, Subiaco piled on an additional two goals, with East Perth remaining goalless. Both teams kicked two goals in the second half, with Subiaco having 13 scoring shots to East Perth’s 9 throughout the game.
