Subiaco came head-to-head with last years Premiership winners Peel Thunder at Leederville Oval on Saturday afternoon, with Peel Thunder dominating the Grand Final rematch, winning the game 10.10 (70) to 4.2 (26).

Subiaco got off to solid start, kicking 3.0 in the first quarter, to lead by five points at quarter time.

However, Peel Thunder kept the Lions to one goal for the remaining match, with the Thunder able to pile on 8.9 in the last three quarters.

Subiaco had a range of goal kickers, with goals from Amy Hunt, Kia Buckley, Tarnica Golisano and Courtney Guard.

The loss puts the Women’s team fourth on the WAFLW ladder after two rounds, above East and South Fremantle.

Subiaco’s next game will be played against East Fremantle at New Choices Homes Park on Saturday 6 March at 12pm. A loss will see Subiaco fall outside of the top four.
