Brandon Matera joins brother at Lions
Brandon Matera has signed with the Subiaco Football Club to play at the Lions in the 2021 Optus WAFL Premiership Season.
The 28-year-old kicked a career-high 30 goals final season in 2019 for Fremantle Dockers and made five appearances for the club in a COVID-affected year in 2020.
Matera arrived to Freo from the Gold Coast for a third-round pick at the end of 2017 and has played a total of 144 AFL Games and 170 Goals since his AFL debut in 2011.
Brandon kicked a six goals against Hawthorn in 2017, a career high to date.
Matera has made the highlight reel numerous times during his AFL career, his brilliant collect and snap along the boundary against Port Adelaide was arguably the best, earning him a goal of the year nomination.
The club looks forward to seeing the small forward in Maroon & Gold in 2021!
