WAFLW Match Preview v East Fremantle

Tuesday, August 18, 2020 - 9:13 AM by Creed Griffiths

This Sunday, Subiaco will look to continue their unbeaten run and make it six wins from six games in the 2020 season as they take on East Fremantle at Leederville Oval. Bouncedown is at 2:00pm on Sunday afternoon, August 23.

FORM
Subiaco have dominated the 2020 season thus far, winning every game and sitting two games clear at the top of the ladder. Subiaco will be buoyed by a gutsy nine-point win in testing conditions away at David Grays Arena last week against second-placed Peel Thunder. The club will be looking to boost its buffer at the top of the ladder and maintain its whopping percentage (241.4%) against the fifth placed East Fremantle.

OPPONENTS FORM
Last year’s WAFLW premiers are currently sitting second last on the table, with just the one win from their four matches so far this season, coming in Round 5 against Claremont in a contest that was decided by a single point.

LAST TWO TIMES

The two sides have shared the points with a win apiece coming from their past two encounters, setting this match up as an opportunity for the respective clubs to see where they’re really at this season. In Round 2 of this season, Subiaco ran out 21-point winners to the tune of 4.5.29 to 1.2.8. East Fremantle will be looking to emulate their 2019 form where they defeated Subiaco 6.6.42 to 2.2.14, sending them on their way to a straight set exit from the 2019 Final’s campaign.
