WAFLW Round 14 Recap v Claremont

The league WAFLW game was the fourth game being played at Leederville Oval on Saturday night with Subiaco Women’s dominating from start to finish against Claremont. 

Bouncing back from their round 12 loss against East Fremantle at Leederville Oval, Subiaco responded at home with a 8.5 (53) to 0.4 (4) win, keeping the Tigers scoreless in the first quarter.

Leading goal scorer for the WAFLW Taryn Tester slotted four majors, with multiple goals to Jayme Harken and singles to Hayley Miller and Sara Lewis, while the Subiaco defence kept Claremont to only four points. 

Subiaco sit top of the WAFLW League ladder and have taken out the WAFLW Minor Premiership, one win and a sizeable percentage ahead of Swan Districts, with Claremont sliding down to 4thon the ladder.

Subiaco play 5th placed Peel Thunder at 3pm, Sunday 25 August at Leederville Oval. Peel Thunder are coming off a 68-point thrashing against Swan Districts 1.1 (7) to 11.9 (75).
