WAFLW Round 14 Preview

Round 14 will see Subiaco’s WAFLW take on Claremont at 5pm on Saturday at home ground Leederville Oval, post the Men's league match.

Following Subiaco’s Round 12 loss to East Fremantle by just nine points, the Subiaco Women's will be looking to return from the bye and get a win.

Form

With just one game left after this week’s match, Subiaco will be looking to hit the scoreboard effectively and get the win.  Just one game ahead of East Fremantle on the ladder Subiaco will be looking to get the four points and add to their strong percentage.  It will be an important game for Subiaco to secure the minor premiership as the 2019 finals series approaches.

Opponents Form

Claremont currently sit in fourth position on the ladder and will be hungry to get a win to move up the ladder. With five wins and four losses recorded this season, Subiaco is expecting Claremont to bring some strong, quality, and competitive football to Leederville Oval. 

Goal Kicking 

Leading WAFLW goal kicker, Tarnee Tester was able to kick all three of Subiaco’s goals against East Fremantle, and will once again be looking to hit the scoreboard throughout all four  of the game.  The Lions will be looking to improve their goal kicking efficiency and get more players kicking goals to come away with the important four points.

Last Time both teams met

In round 6 Subiaco played Claremont at Leederville Oval which saw Subiaco come away with a 50-point win. Subiaco’s defensive group proved strong for Claremont’s forward line, keeping them goalless for all four quarters scoring just four behinds.
