Around The Ground Recap Round 4

Tuesday, April 30, 2019 - 7:53 PM

The Subiaco Football Club hosted their third match day of the 2019 season last Saturday with a series of events going on around the ground to support another match day.

For the first time in nearly a decade Subiaco was the home team for a WAFL ANZAC Round fixture, meaning that Subiaco’s players were able to observe a pre-match ANZAC ceremony on their home field of Leederville Oval.

Elsewhere around the ground, the club hosted a special function on the Corporate Deck with members of the club who were family or partners of the Subiaco senior team invited to enjoy an afternoon watching the game from the best seats in the ground on the deck.

Function guests were treated to an array of food prepared by club caterers Topolini’s as well as receiving a complimentary drink in the Four Pines bar on the deck.

The deck received an upgrade over the week between games, with Four Pines branding across the front of the deck and a must see on your trip to Leederville Oval.

In their major fundraiser of the year, the Ladies Fourm held a Sausage Sizzle and Cake Stall which was well received by all match day guests.

Led by President Dee Kitson, the tireless workers of The Ladies Forum were on hand providing delicious food and warm service to all patrons.

Working alongside The Ladies Forum were the Subiaco Colts, with a group of players from the Colts squad rotated across the day supporting the Ladies with their sausage sizzle.

Once again kids and adults could win at Leederville Oval on match day, with a group of kids winning a SKG Branded Footy during the quarter time breaks with Subiaco’s Holman Kid Zone activities.

Upstairs in the Leederville Sports Bar and Function’s Centre, a competition was held to win a Subiaco Beer Mug.

Also across the afternoon two great Subiaco people held functions, with Brett Mayo celebrating his birthday and Leigh Miller celebrating his Bucks party.

After another winning afternoon for the league group, the senior players were on hand to run the Post Match Presentations.

Ably led by Gus Litherland and supported by Justin Joyce and Clancy Wheeler, the Subiaco senior squad brought some fun and banter to Post Match Presentations.

The highlight of the night was the Q&A session completed with coach Beau Wardman as part of a special live Joycey’s Clangers.

As well as the fun on stage, the boys showed their fun side with a loud shirt competition with the league players and a number of other function attendees dressed in their loud shirt.

The Subiaco Football Club once again thanks all those who helped contribute to another great day around the club as the focus towards Match Day Engagement continues in 2019.

Subiaco will host another exciting day of events with their next home game on Saturday May 18th as the club celebrates members appreciation day.
