The Subiaco Football Club in partnership with The City of Vincent, West Australian Football Commission and the East Perth Football Club have started a master planning project for Leederville Oval.

This presents a unique opportunity for Subiaco fans and members to have their say and help shape the future direction of Leederville Oval.

The City of Vincent has acknowledged that the facilities at Leederville Oval are becoming dated and not in line with community expectations, with this master plan set to help improve facilities and access for the community.

The Subiaco Football Club has been one of the strongest drivers towards having a master plan for Leederville Oval, acknowledging the heritage of the ground, while also bringing it in line with the standards of other sports stadiums that have been revamped in and around Perth and the WAFL competition.

As part of Subiaco’s Business Development committee that came from the 2017 Subi Summit, this group has been consistent in wanting to see a Master Plan for Leederville Oval come to life.

Corporate Manager Cameron Palmer acknowledged how important it is for Subiaco fans and members to have a say.

“This is a key opportunity for the future sustainability of our club and a direct action that has come from our Subi Summit,” Palmer said.

“It is vital that Subiaco fans and members engage with this process, voice their opinion on helping the club update our oval and surrounding precinct.”

The Subiaco Football Club is looking to see the Leederville Oval precinct opened up further allowing for better community access all year round.

The City of Vincent will have a pop-up information session at our first home game of the year, Saturday April 6, where the football public will be encouraged to give their thoughts on the improvements they believe are needed to Leederville Oval.

Keep an eye out for the City of Vincent pop-up information station, where you can have your say and help Subiaco get the facility that befits a WAFL club.
