The Final Siren November Update - Kick to Kick Confirmed

Wednesday, November 15, 2017 - 3:15 PM

The build-up to the once in a lifetime event at Subiaco Oval, “The Final Siren”, has continued over the past month with confirmation that access to Subi Oval has been granted  for Subiaco members and players attending the event.

All former Subiaco members, players, coaches, officials, trainers, physios, doctors etc and their families are encouraged to come along and walk or run through the change rooms, up the race and on to the oval for a kick or two!
The Final Siren event is Free Entry and begins at 1pm. The bar will be open with Member’s Price beverages and food. We also have some wonderful guest speakers lined up to regale a few old war stories.
At 2pm, past players will be cheered onto the ground by Subiaco’s most loyal fans, with the opportunity for past players and fans to have a kick on the hallowed Subiaco Oval turf between 2 and 3 as part of “The Final Siren” festivities.
Live music will be heard throughout the afternoon with James Morley formerly of The Angels to play an evening set, and Subiaco club favourite Joe Phelan to play in the early afternoon.
The number of past Subiaco greats who have said they are attending has continues to grow with Matt Priddis, Mark Nicoski, George Young, Robbie Young, Brian Serakowski, Ian Dargie, Darren Rumble, Neil Taylor, Brian Taylor and Phil Lamb, among the 150 past and current players who are set to be there on the day.
With past photos, past grand finals and interviews with past greats of the club across the afternoon, this really is a must attend event to anyone who has had an association with the proud Subiaco Football Club.
Past premiership players have also been signing four special jumpers that will be auctioned on the night. Members from the 1973, 1986 and 1988, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008, as well as the 2014 and 2015 premiership teams have been putting their signature to these jumpers that will be a must have collector item.
“The Final Siren” will be held on Sunday December 3rd from 1pm at the Subi Sports Bar at Subiaco Oval.
Past players Rod Willet, Kevan Sparks and Bret Hutchinson have been instrumental in the organisation of this event. They pose here with one of the jumpers that will be auctioned off on the night, at the last Final Siren meeting, held at Corporate Partner of the club, The Sandbar on Scarborough Beach.
