Subiaco have three players in the WA State Academies with Greg Clark, Kyron Hayden and Ben Miller selected for the Black Swans in preparation for the 2015 National Championships.
Subiaco's Greg Clark was selected in the State 18's Academy for the second consecutive year with the 18-year-old starring for the colts in 2014 before being elevated to the senior list this year.
Clark is also involved with the Australian Institute of Sport and continues to develop rapidly at senior level for the Lions.
The 2015 State 18s Championships will be comprised of four Division One teams with Western Australia joined by South Australia, Victoria Metro and Victoria Country.
WA will commence the championships against South Australia on May 23 at Lathlain Park as a curtain raiser to the WAFL v SANFL State Game.
WAFL Talent Manager Raff Guadagnino said the Academy was excited to welcome a new group of inductees and provide the opportunity for them to develop under the experience of the WAFL State coaching structure lead by Andrew Lockyer.
“We are looking forward to developing and showcasing the best under 18 talent the WAFL has to offer and taking part in a very competitive National Championship,” he said.
“The WAFL has a proud history of developing elite talent for both senior WAFL and AFL football, while also contributing to the personal development of players both on and off the field.
“As the WAFL season progresses there will also be an opportunity for additional players to be added to the program based on their performance in the WAFL competition.”

Kyron Hayden and Ben Miller were selected in the U16'S Academy after impressing at the WAFL 16's Carnival.
The Subi youngsters were selected amongst 37 of the WA's best young players and will participate in a program that has nurtured AFL talent such as Jaeger O’Meara, Rhys Palmer, Jack Darling, Kamdyn McIntosh and Subiaco’s own Dominic Sheed.
The Subiaco hopefuls will now work towards selection for the upcoming National Championship fixtures which will be held on the Gold Coast in July.
