The Subiaco Reserves team ran out comprehensive victors on the weekend downing South Fremantle by 95 points.
The reserves team sits atop of the premiership table with 17 wins and 2 losses and a percentage of 220.
They have been the dominate team in the competition this season and the coaching staff have been busy rotating 53 players through the team and still maintaining their winning formula.
On the weekend Dylan Clarke, the leading goal kicker in the Reserves competition, was called up for league duties but that provided an opportunity for players to step up and fill the void. Kyle Halligan kicked accurately with 6 goals, Alliston Pickett posted 5 goals and James Garcia registered 3 goals.
The side has been strengthened in the past two weeks with the return of Robert Forrest, Scott Worthington, Dylan Elliott and Abe Davey all returning from injury to press for league selection in the lead up to the finals.
Matthew Bogensperger continues to have a stellar season averaging 24 disposals a match, as well as Hoskins, Wade and Scafidi all chiming in to create a dominate reserves midfield.
The side boasts the best defence in the competition only conceding 909 points (average of 49 points per game) and the most dangerous attack scoring 2000 points in 19 matches.
Reece Blechynden was given a new role up the ground playing on a wing and gathering 27 touches and Chris Bryan blanketed one of South Fremantle’s premier ball winners after half time which will add a new dimension to his game.
This weekend our reserves side take on East Fremantle who are placed third on the ladder, which will be a good test before facing West Perth in the second semi final in a fortnights time.
Make sure you get to the ground earlier this weekend to cheer on the Reserves as they look to finish the home and away season with 18 wins.
