The 2013 WAFL season has reached its most critical juncture.
With 12 rounds played Claremont find themselves streaks ahead with a logjam of teams fighting for second on the WAFL ladder
West Perth loosely grip second spot just a game clear of four sides: Perth, East Fremantle, Subiaco and East Perth with Swan District only one win further behind.
Round 13 sees these 6 ‘contenders’ face off, in a weekend of football that will go a long way towards shaping the ladder for the rest of the season.
Subiaco hosts Swan Districts, Perth hosts East Perth and East Fremantle hosts West Perth.
The Lions take full confidence into their clash against Swans having beaten them just three weeks ago at Bassendean.
Dayle Garlett kicked 4 goals from 16 disposals against Subiaco in round 10 and backed it up a week later with a 6-goal haul against Perth.
Lions coach Jarrad Schofield could give young tagger Matt Bogensperger another crack at blanketing Garlett, following his superb effort shutting down South Fremantle play-maker Ryan Cook on the weekend.
The Lions will be hoping to continue their three game winning streak while the Swans who have been up and down all season.
The visitors are coming off a bye following their thrilling come-from-behind 5-point win over Perth.

Fans will see two of the competitions premier wingman go head to head once again with Swan Shaun Hildebrant returning to his former stomping ground to line up against Subiaco’s Jarrod Kayler-Thomson.
Both have been in sensational form of late, Hilderbrant tallying 29 disposals the last time they met while Kayler-Thomson gathered 22 and 5 inside fifties.
