The Subiaco Colts have won their fourth consecutive game with a dominant 59 point win against Swan Districts at Bassendean Oval.

After a sluggish first quarter, the Lions blew the Swans away with six goal rampage in the second, a gap which never relinquished.

Joshua Deluca was outstanding in the win with 22 disposals and three goals as he continues to display the potential of a future star.

Rhys McAlister held the fort down in the forward line with four goals, standing as the Lions most dangerous goal-kicker in 2013.

THE GAME CHANGERS:
Joshua Deluca:
Brother of Subiaco league player, Chris Deluca, Josh emits very similar traits to his older brother. Deluca can burst away when given space and has a natural talent for kicking goals. His talent was on full display today as he took the second by storm with two goals and a handful of disposals in a term which the Swan Districts would rather forget.

Max Walters:
What a year it’s been so far for Walters. The youngster has flourished in an inside midfield role leading disposals for the Lions and consistently playing to a high standard. Led disposals again today with 22 and chipped in with two majors as well.

Christopher Bryan:
Another first year player, Christopher Bryan has been a revelation playing half-back for the Subiaco Colts. Bryan’s run of the back line today was clinical as the Lions negated Swan Districts to one of their lowest tallies of the year. The best part about this kids game is his composure under pressure; never panics, never rushes, just plays.

WE ARE MARSHALL:
Jordan Marshall, son of 1980’s Ken Marshall, played his first game for the Lions today and looked the part. Gathered 16 disposals on debut and his big frame was a handy edition going forward, collecting the ball and delivering to record four inside 50 entries.
