Sudan to Subiaco

BALGA teenager David Madut will this year combine tafe studies, colts football and a Subiaco Football Club ambassadorial role.

A member of the Lions’ colts squad, Madut is the first recipient of the Subiaco Football Club’s Multicultural Ambassador Scholarship, in which he will aid the club in delivering its community based programs, while in turn receiving guidance and career opportunities advice from the club.

On March 17th after the WAFL opeing game Subaico vs West Perth. Players will be grouped in three's with a prominent player as leader. Menmbers will be able to bid for any of the 20 groups (soon to be released on this page)

Subiaco Secure Two New Recruits

 

SUBIACO has completed an aggressive off-season recruitment campaign by securing former Collingwood VFL player Brett Mahoney and East Fremantle’s Conor Davidson for the upcoming WAFL season.

The pair Mahoney and Davidson will join new recruits Joey Daye, Callum Sinclair and Nathan Phillips who the Lions secured earlier this year.

Colts visit Moore River

The Lions Colts took a break from their gruelling training program last weekend to participate in a two day camp.

The boys made the trek down to Moore River to build team camaraderie and host two intra-club matches to help head coach Steven Armstrong and his assistants get a bearing on where the squad is at.

Along with the two practice matches, the group indulged in some abstract activities such as lawn bowls, canoeing and team building exercises.

Waters To Lead Young Brigade

SUBIACO youngster Rhys Waters believes he is just a small part of an impressive young brigade that will take the Lions back to the top of the WAFL.

The Sorrento-Duncraig product who has been a part of Subiaco’s Development Squad programs as well as State 16s and 18s squads was quick to turn the attention away from himself and onto his fellow rookies.
