With the July school holidays now underway it was again time for the Subiaco District in conjunction with the Subiaco Football Club to host its July ‘Smarter Than Smoking’ Holiday clinic with over 250 children in attendance at Kingsway Reserve, Madeley
The July clinic was highlighted by the provision of a Subiaco backpack containing a football, pair of socks, water bottle, poster and pen. The participants also enjoyed the skills taught by, the Subiaco Colts, League and West Coast Eagles players.
Subiaco “Smarter than Smoking” Development Officer Ben Haywood said the programs, which run in the April and July School Holidays, are not only fantastic for promoting the Subiaco Football Club, but also for promoting Australian Rules within the Subiaco District, with children who participated in
both clinics now having a subiaco Jumper, socks and backpack.
The clinics overwhelming success would not be possible without the invaluable contribution of our partners Altitude Real-Estate, who continually support many of the districts initiatives, National Food Groups, who through Masters provide each child with flavoured milk drink for the lunch time break.
The Subiaco Football District again looks forward to 2011 when we again conduct our clinics for children in the metro area. For further information please don’t hesitate to contact Ben Haywood at Subiaco Football Club on 9208 9999.
