The Golds are a coterie group who together have a main objective of providing financial support to the Subiaco league team.Golds meet in February to have an AGM and to vote in our committee for the following year. Golds is a great way to meet people within the Subiaco Football Club as anyone can join if they are a member of the club. We generally try to buy things for the league team that we feel they need to improve their facilities and to help them in their quest to succeed. Each year the Golds put forward a monthly $100 award to the Golds player of the month, and each Golds members can vote. Also we provide a $500 award to the Golds player of the year, by which each member votes.
Golds are proud to support the league team and to assist the Subiaco Football Club with their support of junior football. We enjoy helping out the Kingsley Junior Football Club with their BBQs and we have a fantastic trip up to Kalgoorlie to represent the club. We welcome new members with open arms and promise to provide a really great social environment.
LADIES FORUM - President Laura Stafford
The ladies forum was formed to encourage female members of the Subiaco Football club to have contact with each other. Fundraising is only a small part of our organisation. We meet once a month for dinner at the club and we try to have interesting guest speakers or craft nights. Social events are organised and dinner for colts players and their parents is provided once a year. Afternoon tea at home games is another of our home game projects in which we invite all female members to join us.
We encourage any female member of the Subiaco Football Club to join by contacting Laura Stafford at home on 9367 9959 or any or our members is only too willing to help.
PAST PLAYERS & OFFCIALS ASSOCIATION - President Arthur Cochrane
The Subiaco Past Players and Officials Association Inc was formed in 1958.
The Objects of the Association are :
(1) To promote and encourage the fraternisation of Past Players and Officials of the Subiaco Football Club (Incorporated).
(2) To assist and encourage the game of football within the Districts and Zones of the Subiaco Football Club (incorporated).
(3) To promote Social and Cultural activities within the Association for its Members.
For the past eleven seasons Subiaco PPAOA have adopted the Subiaco Football Club reserves team and provided them with food and drinks at half time at all home games. We make an award to the reserves best and runners up for home games.
The Association also helps out with a donation to all Subiaco State Schoolboys Representatives.
Last season we became involved with our new country zone of Esperance. A donation of $500 was made to the Esperance Junior Football Association to help promote the game in the zone.
An inaugural gold medal was struck for the best young player in the Esperance District Football Association grand final and was presented by Association President Arthur Cochrane after the game.
Our ultimate aim is to help the Subiaco Football Club and to encourage Junior Football in our districts and zones.
Members of visiting teams PPOA are welcomed at all of our half time functions.
