Reserves Coach's Report Rd 17 v West Perth
This week we welcomed back some players from injury although they have missed a lot of games and a bit under done there experience would be a benefit for the younger players. We got off to a good start and had plenty off the ball but we went into quarter trailing by 1 point we didn’t take our chances when we went forward and west Perth hurt us on the rebound. The 2nd quarter was very disappointing our intensity and skill level dropped off and west Perth capitalised and played a very good 2nd quarter by kicking 8 goals to our 2.
After half time it was a very even game with some good football played by both sides but we couldn’t reduce the quarter time lead and West Perth won by 6 goals. Compared to our previous weeks our skill level was good and our intensity and being able to win more one on one contest was a lot better, but the challenge for this group of players is to be able to do it for 4 quarters and week to week.
Our better players for the game were R Sheehan, A Scott, A Davey, G Armstrong and R Stack.
Thanks again for your support and hope to see you all when we take on South Fremantle this weekend.
